Every time a TV commercial on infant formula ends, it always says that breast milk is best for babies up to 2 years. Unfortunately, it rarely happens that a mother in urban places could do so to their babies. Some of them give breast milk up to the age of two months because they have to go back to work while others give them milk formula since birth so that they won’t have problems weaning them.

As for me, I am an avid advocate of breastfeeding. All my children were breastfed until I ran out of milk or when I needed to go back to work. Both my daughters’ breastfed until I ran out of milk while my boy was weaned because I needed to get work due to some family problems. He was weaned at the age of 11 months, almost one year.

Anyway, breastfeeding has a lot of benefits. One of them is giving the babies the boost they need for their immune system to be strong. Drinking from mommy’s milk also bonds the mother and baby relationship. So, if you are having a baby, breastfeeding is still the best for babies!!
