Traditional and Online Businesses

Running a traditional store nowadays requires a lot of investments. Aside from the building and the products to sell, you need a reliable inventory system, cashier registrars and POS systems. But if you can’t afford to invest on these things, you could always run an online web store. You can have a traditional business less the required building storefront and monthly rentals. All you need is a webpage that could transact payments securely.

Some of my friends have online boutiques. They have multiply and facebook accounts to sell their products and go the traditional way of paying the goods via bank deposits, money transfer and some mobile and internet payment. So far, they are still selling and earning good and descent money.

I wanted to try selling online too but I don’t have the time to buy goods and take care of inventory. I have other items that I sell online and most of them are digital products that require less physical work.

How about you? Do you have a traditional business or a web store? Do you sell tangible products or digital ones?
